Orange You Glad I Said Hermès

Today began with a visit to the first ever Hermès store founded in 1840 and located at 24 Faubourg, Saint-Honore. We were not allowed to take pictures of the inside, however to compensate, we each got a bag full of Hermès goodies. While there was no scarf, there were small bottles of perfume, a look book, and cards with instructions on how to tie an Hermès scarf. In addition, we learned that President Nixon got caught in one of the elevators inside the store.

Afterwords, we went to the more affordable pastry shop, Laduree, for some authentic French macaroons followed by a stroll through the Jardin des Tuileries, also the place where Paris Fashion Week is held.

Afterwards, it was back to La Marais for scouting vintage clothing, unique street style, graffiti, and beautifully intricate doors. As dark as the sky was, it cleared up to a beautiful afternoon in Paris.

First off in the street style, Hermès seemed to be following us as the signature orange was everywhere as well as the other signature color, which most people don't know, is red.

Interesting patterns, especially on bags and jackets were certainly something to be noticed and were reflected not only on people, but on buildings as well.

This pair of shoes and bracelet were obviously inspired by the beautiful doors of Paris.

Parisian men, well dressed even when on a motorcycle.

A cooler day like today was perfect for breaking out the trenches and leather jackets.
