Can you see me?
Today we went to the Les Arts Decoratics (the museum of decorative arts) to see the lavish private collection of Ralph Lauren's cars as well as ornate jewelry, unique paintings, and chairs chairs chairs. While photo taking was not allowed at the car exhibit, I was able to sneak a couple (so don't tell). We also went to the Musee d'Orsay to view some Cezanne and Manet as well as many other artists. Unfortunately picture taking was also not allowed however the people attending the museums were decked out in their Parisian best, making for some excellent street style photos.
Such elaborate jewelry
Ralph Lauren only owns 14 Ferrari's
A menagerie of glass, ceramic, porcelain, and plastic animals could be found throughout the museums.
Paddington Bear
-What's new? -The cat died -That sucks |
One of a kind paintings were also on display in the decorative arts museum.
First Love |
Trophy Wives |
The Youth |
A one of a kind Lacoste shirt
Flying lightbulbs can change themselves
Some elaborate knick-knacks
And then there were the chairs
These two chairs were in the window of a store but would have fit right into the collection
Can't be late with clocks like these
These dresses dotted the streets of Paris
Brown accented these looks
Mustard yellow was the perfect neutral color to be paired with green pants or a pink scarf
As usual, orange dominated the streets
This darker lavender could be seen underneath a blue sweater or just a subtle touch of color on the shoulder of a dress
And it wouldn't be Paris unless someone was wearing red or pink pants
And surprisingly, blue pants as well as blue patterned dresses and blazers were seen
And nothing is a better shade from the sun than a large, floppy brimmed straw hat
Patterned dresses in playful prints falling above the knee could be seen
molière is great and hilarious! i read some of him in my medieval french lit class. the lacoste shirt is so cool! love the chairs (les chaises) and the clocks (les horloges)
